Renault India recorded domestic wholesales of 3,399 units in September 2026, registering a 20% month-on-month increase over August 2026, as the automaker builds momentum ahead of the festive season.
The company also reported strong growth in its year-to-date domestic sales, with volumes reaching 35,378 units during January-September 2026, up 36.6% from 25,886 units in the corresponding period of 2025.
YTD sales cross 35,000 units
Renault India added 9,492 units to its domestic sales during the first nine months of 2026 compared with the year-ago period.
The 36.6% growth in YTD volumes comes as Renault expands its product portfolio and prepares to introduce new powertrain technologies in India.
Renault resumes Sri Lanka exports
During September, Renault India resumed exports to Sri Lanka in partnership with AMW Motors, taking its international export footprint to 16 countries.
The first shipment comprised 100 vehicles, including the new Triber, Kwid and Kiger, and departed from Renault India’s manufacturing facility at Oragadam near Chennai.
The resumption marks Renault’s return to the Sri Lankan market and adds another destination to its export network from India.
Triber 100PS expands portfolio
Renault India also expanded the Triber range with the launch of the all-new Triber 100PS, priced from ₹7.84 lakh (ex-showroom).
The model marks the Indian debut of the Renault Group Entry Platform (RGEP) and combines the Triber’s seven-seat configuration with a 100 PS turbocharged powertrain.
The company said the new model brings together seven-seat flexibility, turbocharged performance, fuel efficiency and the benefits of the sub-four-metre vehicle category.
Duster hybrid launch set for October 17
Under its futuREady strategy, Renault India is preparing to introduce its first hybrid powertrain in the country.
The Duster strong hybrid E-Tech 160 is scheduled to be introduced on October 17, 2026, marking another step in Renault’s planned expansion of powertrain options in India.
Chennai plant anchors India operations
Renault India manufactures its vehicles at its facility in Oragadam, Chennai, which has an annual production capacity of 480,000 units.
The company has close to 638 sales and service touchpoints across India, including more than 200 Workshop on Wheels locations.
The combination of rising domestic volumes, a wider export footprint, a refreshed product portfolio and the upcoming hybrid launch is set to shape Renault India’s next phase of growth in the Indian market.
