Zen Technologies Ltd, a Hyderabad-based defence technology company specialising in anti-drone systems and defence training solutions, reported a 50.7% year-on-year increase in consolidated net profit to ₹89.54 crore for the second quarter of FY27, compared with ₹59.40 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
Consolidated revenue for the quarter surged 82% to ₹361.84 crore from ₹198.88 crore in Q2FY26, reflecting stronger execution and demand for its defence technology products.
The company secured fresh orders worth ₹481.81 crore during the quarter, taking its consolidated order book to ₹1,375.70 crore as of September 30, 2026.
Order book and execution gather momentum
Zen Technologies said order inflows and execution accelerated during the quarter, supported by sustained demand across its product categories.
The company expects to benefit from the government’s increasing emphasis on defence indigenisation. The Defence Acquisition Council has recently accorded Acceptance of Necessity (AoN) to capital acquisition proposals, of which around 82% is earmarked for procurement from the domestic defence industry.
Zen Technologies said its ownership of core technologies positions it favourably to capitalise on the shift towards indigenous defence procurement.
Indigenous technology supports faster execution
Zen Technologies Chairman and Managing Director Ashok Atluri said the quarter marked a significant milestone in the company’s growth trajectory, with record quarterly revenue and improved execution capabilities.
He said the company had started delivering Fast Track Procurement orders received last year ahead of contractual timelines.
Atluri attributed the faster turnaround to the company’s ownership of its technology, which allows it to modify products in response to changing Army requirements without depending on foreign licensors.
He said this flexibility enables Zen Technologies to respond to the evolving operational needs of the Armed Forces much faster, strengthening its position as India’s defence procurement increasingly shifts towards indigenous solutions.
With a ₹1,375.70-crore order book and continued emphasis on domestic defence manufacturing, the company is positioned to pursue further growth opportunities in anti-drone systems and defence training solutions.
