Lemon Tree Hotels Ltd, a hospitality company operating across India, has signed a licence agreement for a 76-room hotel in Sirhind, Punjab, expanding its presence in the state.
The property will be managed by Carnation Hotels Pvt Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Lemon Tree Hotels. With this addition, the company will have four operational hotels and 10 upcoming properties in Punjab.
Hotel targets pilgrimage and leisure demand
Located in Fatehgarh Sahib district, Sirhind is known for its historical, cultural and religious heritage.
Its connectivity to Chandigarh and nearby commercial centres is expected to support demand from business and transit travellers, as well as visitors exploring the region’s historical landmarks.
The hotel will offer accommodation alongside dining, wellness and event facilities, catering to pilgrims, leisure travellers and other visitors.
Connectivity supports expansion
Sirhind Junction is located about 3.5 km from the property, while Shaheed Bhagat Singh International Airport in Chandigarh is approximately 45 km away.
The location is expected to help the hotel serve travellers visiting Sirhind and neighbouring commercial and tourism destinations.
Lemon Tree strengthens Punjab presence
“Our growing presence in Punjab reflects the diverse opportunities the state offers across business, religious tourism and leisure. Sirhind’s rich religious and historical heritage, coupled with its regional connectivity, makes it a compelling addition to Lemon Tree Hotels’ network,” Lemon Tree Hotels Ltd, President, Vishvapreet Singh Cheema, said.
The company said it would continue expanding its portfolio in Punjab, tailoring its presence to the distinct business, pilgrimage and leisure demand drivers of individual destinations.
