EGS Health Launches MC3 Platform For Specialised Cancer Care In India

CW Bureau ·

EGS Health, one of the leading health-tech companies based in Visakhapatnam, has launched Medicas Comprehensive Cancer Care (MC3), a cancer care coordination platform aimed at helping patients access expert-led second opinions, multidisciplinary oncology guidance and coordinated treatment support across India.

The platform has been launched nationwide with a focus on bridging gaps in access to specialised cancer care, particularly in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities where multidisciplinary oncology expertise and subspecialised guidance are often limited.

Focus on coordinated cancer care
MC3 is designed to support patients across the cancer care journey, from early detection to recovery, while also offering emotional and supportive care services. The platform combines oncology guidance from Indian and international cancer specialists to help patients and treating physicians make more informed treatment decisions.

The service follows a human-led model where treatment recommendations are provided by a panel of specialists in consultation with the patient’s primary healthcare provider.

The platform also supports areas such as precision oncology, rehabilitation, psycho-oncology, supportive care and palliative care guidance.

EGS Group Chairman & MD Shiva Shankar said, “Cancer care today requires timely access to multidisciplinary expertise, coordinated guidance, and compassionate patient support. With MC3, our vision is to help patients across India access world-class oncology expertise regardless of geography, while ensuring every treatment decision remains collaborative, patient-centric, and guided by experienced specialists.”

AI-driven oncology ecosystem
MC3 CMO Hari Parameswaran said rapid advances in precision medicine and targeted therapies are increasing the need for specialised oncology expertise.

“MC3 has been built to support patients and treating physicians through expert-led second opinions and coordinated cancer care guidance that helps patients make more informed and confident decisions throughout their treatment journey,” he added.

The platform has also highlighted its focus on patient privacy and secure handling of medical information through compliance with HIPAA and GDPR protocols.

MC3 forms part of the broader Medicas ecosystem developed by EGS Health. The company is also building the Medicas Onco Platform, an AI-powered oncology intelligence solution that uses biomedical NLP, interoperability standards and longitudinal patient modelling to support cancer care workflows.
