Ola Electric reported a strong month-on-month recovery in April 2026, with registrations rising to 12,166 units, up from 10,133 units in March, according to VAHAN data. This marks a 20% MoM growth, building on the rebound seen in March.
Outperforms EV two-wheeler market
Ola Electric’s performance stood out in a challenging month for the industry, as the broader electric two-wheeler segment declined by over 22% MoM. Notably, Ola Electric emerged as the only leading EV two-wheeler brand to register growth in April, highlighting improving customer confidence and stabilising operations.
The company also continued to see strong traction for its expanding EV portfolio, including products powered by its proprietary battery technology.
Highlight on execution and cost efficiencies
An Ola Electric spokesperson said that April extended the recovery momentum witnessed in March, with registrations rising despite a sharp market slowdown.
The company attributed this growth to stronger execution, stabilising operations and increasing customer trust. It also highlighted that the commercialisation of its indigenously developed 4680 Bharat Cells has improved cost efficiencies, with benefits being passed on to customers.
Motorcycle portfolio gains traction
Ola Electric’s motorcycle lineup is witnessing encouraging demand, particularly in large markets such as Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Madhya Pradesh.
The Ola Roadster X is steadily ramping up, emerging as a meaningful offering in the electric motorcycle segment.
Bharat cell technology drives adoption
Products powered by Ola’s proprietary 4680 Bharat Cell are seeing increasing adoption. The Ola Roadster X+ with a 9.1 kWh battery delivers up to 500 km IDC range, addressing a key consumer concern in the motorcycle segment, range anxiety and long-distance usability.
EV adoption gains relevance amid global shifts
The company believes EV adoption in India is becoming increasingly relevant amid global energy security concerns and oil price volatility. As the largest personal mobility segment, two-wheelers present a significant opportunity to accelerate electrification, reduce fuel dependence and lower mobility costs.
Focus on scale, technology and integration
Ola Electric remains focused on expanding EV penetration through technology, scale and affordability. Its vertically integrated platform, spanning vehicles, batteries and cells, positions the company to drive the next phase of electric mobility adoption in India.
