Ultraviolette Rider Nets 1.46 Lakh Km On F77 MACH 2, Sets World Records

CW Bureau ·

Bengaluru-based electric performance motorcycle maker Ultraviolette Automotive has showcased a major endurance milestone in India’s EV mobility space, with customer Harish Surampade covering an extraordinary 146,000 km in just two years on his F77 MACH 2 electric motorcycle while setting two world records in the process.

Recognition from World Record bodies
Harish’s cross-country and international border expeditions on the F77 MACH 2 have been recognised by Kalam’s World Records and World Records India, highlighting the growing capability of electric motorcycles in long-distance adventure touring and extreme-condition riding.

In one of his record-setting rides, Harish travelled nearly 3,000 km through demanding terrains covering Panitanki, Korala, Jaigaon, Nathu La, Batang La Tri Junction and Fulbari. The expedition saw temperatures plunging to as low as –10°C in Upper Mustang near the Korala border.

First EV to access Nathu La Pass
The journey established the F77 MACH 2 as the first electric motorcycle to complete an expedition across six international borders within 19 days. The motorcycle also became the first-ever EV to receive permission to ride through the strategically important Nathu La Pass.

In another landmark feat, Harish completed the “Longest Distance Cross-Country Expedition” on the F77 MACH 2 by covering 120,000 km over 600 days across all Indian states. The expedition began and concluded in Bengaluru while spanning 13 international borders.

Conquering Extreme Terrains
During the journey, Harish rode through some of the world’s toughest terrains, including Khardung La and Umling La, among the world’s highest motorable passes. The expedition was completed under extreme climatic conditions ranging from –15°C to +48°C, earning recognition as a new world record.

Despite clocking 146,000 km, Ultraviolette said the F77 MACH 2 continues to demonstrate strong durability and efficiency, with the motorcycle retaining 95% battery health after the extensive usage.

Significant Sustainability Gains
The company also highlighted the sustainability impact generated through the expeditions. According to Ultraviolette, Harish’s journeys helped save 5,763 litres of fuel and nearly ₹5.94 lakh in fuel expenses, while preventing around 9,468 kg of carbon emissions.

Ultraviolette said the motorcycle consumed 6,999 kWh of energy during the expeditions and recovered 97 kWh through regenerative systems, underlining the efficiency of the F77 MACH 2 platform.

Boost For Premium Electric Motorcycles
Harish Surampade’s achievement comes at a time when India’s premium electric two-wheeler market is witnessing rising consumer interest in performance-oriented EVs and long-distance touring capabilities.

Ultraviolette said the record-breaking journeys reinforce the endurance, resilience and practicality of electric motorcycles, while demonstrating how sustainable mobility solutions are evolving beyond urban commuting into adventure and expedition riding.
