Opptra, the AI-native e-commerce distributor founded by Flipkart co-founder Binny Bansal, has partnered with Unicommerce to strengthen and scale its operations across India, the GCC and Southeast Asia.
The partnership combines Opptra’s market expansion capabilities with Unicommerce’s AI-led e-commerce and fulfilment technology platform, helping brands improve operational efficiency, accelerate market entry and manage growth across multiple channels and geographies.
Technology-led expansion
Opptra operates as an AI-native distributor, managing a brand’s entire e-commerce ecosystem, including marketplace operations, pricing, advertising, content, fulfilment and customer service. The company also acts as an importer of record across India, the GCC and Southeast Asia, enabling brands to expand into new markets.
Under the partnership, Opptra will deploy Unicommerce’s Uniware platform to manage orders, inventory and fulfilment across warehouses, stores and sales channels through a single integrated dashboard.
Simplifying cross-border commerce
The collaboration will leverage Unicommerce’s network of more than 350 integrations with marketplaces, logistics providers, shopping carts, point-of-sale systems and accounting platforms across India, the UAE and Southeast Asia.
The platform also offers regional capabilities such as local language support for labels and invoices and taxation support in the UAE, helping brands simplify international operations and scale more efficiently.
“E-commerce in Asia isn’t one problem, it’s several. Fragmented marketplaces, market-by-market compliance and fulfilment networks that don’t talk to each other. Running our operations on Unicommerce’s Uniware gives our teams one connected view of orders, inventory and fulfilment across every market,” Opptra, Chief Executive Officer, Electronics & General Merchandise, Ranjit Babu, said.
Growth focus
“The next phase of e-commerce growth will be driven by brands that can scale seamlessly across channels, partners and geographies without increasing operational complexity,” Unicommerce, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Kapil Makhija, said.
He added that the partnership would provide brands with an integrated, AI-led commerce technology stack designed to automate operations, improve decision-making and support globally scalable commerce capabilities.
