Deccan Gold Mines Reports Tungsten Discovery At Spain’s Logrosan Project

CW Bureau ·

Deccan Gold Mines Ltd, India’s first and only listed gold and critical minerals resource company, has reported encouraging drilling results from its Logrosan Tungsten Project in Spain, with every completed drill hole intersecting potentially economic tungsten or tungsten-tin mineralisation.

The latest diamond drilling campaign comprised seven drill holes covering nearly 3,000 metres at the Dehesa target. Laboratory assays have confirmed high-grade tungsten mineralisation across multiple intersections, reinforcing the project’s potential as a significant critical minerals asset.

Among the key drill results, hole LDD017 intersected 1.21% WO₃ at 535 metres, while hole LDD016 returned 0.88% WO₃ at 470 metres. The widest mineralised interval recorded was 7.5 metres grading 0.29% WO₃. The company said additional assay results from the ongoing drilling programme are expected in the coming weeks.

District-scale potential
According to Deccan Gold, the latest exploration indicates that tungsten mineralisation extends beyond isolated veins into a broad hydrothermal system spanning an estimated 3-kilometre trend. Geological interpretation suggests the mineralisation represents the upper portion of a much larger tungsten-tin system that could strengthen at depth, enhancing the long-term exploration potential of the project.

The Logrosan Project is part of Deccan Gold’s strategic expansion into Europe following its definitive earn-in agreement to progressively acquire a majority stake in Logrosan Minera S.L., which owns a portfolio of prospective tungsten, tin, rare earth element and gold assets in one of Europe’s mineral-rich regions.

Validation for project’s district-scale potential
Deccan Gold Mines Ltd Managing Director Dr Hanuma Prasad Modali said the drilling results validate the project’s district-scale potential.

“The results from Logrosan provide strong validation of the project’s district-scale potential and reinforce our confidence in its long-term prospects. The fact that every drill hole has intersected potentially economic tungsten or tungsten-tin mineralisation points to a robust mineralised system with significant exploration upside,” he said.

He added that the investment, being advanced through the company’s wholly owned Dubai subsidiary DGFZCO, aligns with Deccan Gold’s long-term strategy of building a globally diversified portfolio of gold and critical mineral assets.

“As the global focus on critical minerals intensifies, strategically important resources like tungsten will play a vital role in strengthening supply-chain resilience and industrial competitiveness. Logrosan is an important step in our vision of building globally relevant mining assets that create sustainable long-term value,” Modali said.

Next steps
The company will continue drilling at the Dehesa target while advancing exploration at the Las Brujas and Logrosan North targets later this year as it seeks to unlock the broader district-scale potential of the Logrosan Project.
