Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), a global IT services and consulting company, and Best Buy have signed an agreement to transition Best Buy’s Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Bengaluru to TCS.
The partnership will combine the GCC’s retail and enterprise knowledge with TCS’ technology, engineering, artificial intelligence and global delivery capabilities to accelerate innovation and scale AI-powered solutions across Best Buy’s business.
GCC to transition under multi-year agreement
Under the agreement, the Best Buy India entity will transition to TCS while ensuring business continuity. The centre will progressively transform into an AI-native Capability Centre (AICC) under a multi-year agreement.
Using TCS’ Global Value & Innovation Centres framework, teams will redesign workflows, develop AI-powered experiences and solutions, and scale these capabilities across Best Buy’s business.
Employees to join TCS organisation
TCS will welcome Best Buy India employees into its global organisation, giving them access to TCS’ global learning and innovation ecosystem, AI skills and opportunities across its international operations.
The partnership will also support Best Buy’s priorities while enabling the India team to leverage TCS’ technology, engineering and AI capabilities.
Partnership targets AI-led transformation

TCS expands GCC transformation capabilities
The agreement highlights TCS’ end-to-end capabilities in the GCC segment, covering the establishment and scaling of capability centres as well as their transformation into AI-led engines of innovation and enterprise value.
The transition is expected to combine Best Buy’s domain expertise with TCS’ global technology and delivery capabilities as the centre evolves into an AI-focused operation.
