Hero MotoCorp, the world’s largest manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters, has officially entered the German market through a distribution partnership with KSR Group, marking a significant milestone in its global expansion strategy.
With the launch, Germany becomes Hero MotoCorp’s fifth European market after Italy, Spain, France and the UK, while also becoming the company’s 53rd global market.
The company celebrated its entry with an exclusive launch event at Motorworld Metzingen, showcasing its Euro 5+ compliant motorcycles through an urban riding experience that highlighted their performance, technology and adventure capabilities.
XPulse range leads market debut
Hero MotoCorp has introduced its Euro 5+ compliant XPulse 200 4V series, comprising the XPulse 200 4V and the more off-road-focused XPulse 200 Pro, as its first offerings in Germany.
The motorcycles are powered by a 4-valve engine producing 14.1 kW of power and 17.35 Nm of torque, and feature three ABS modes, Road, Off-Road and Rally, to suit varying riding conditions.
The adventure motorcycles also come equipped with Bluetooth-enabled turn-by-turn navigation, an LCD instrument cluster, LED projector headlamps, long-travel suspension and upright ergonomics aimed at both urban commuting and off-road riding.
The XPulse 200 4V is priced at €2,990, while the XPulse 200 Pro, featuring fully adjustable suspension, higher ground clearance and enhanced off-road equipment, is priced at €3,290.
Nationwide sales and service network
To support its German operations, KSR Group will initially establish a network of more than 28 authorised sales and service outlets across major cities, with plans to expand to around 30 sales points in the near future.
Hero MotoCorp will also offer an industry-leading five-year warranty, comprising a standard three-year warranty along with an additional two years under a special launch offer.
Major milestone
Hero MotoCorp Executive Vice President, Global Business, Global Product Planning and Global Market Insights Sanjay Bhan said Germany represents a major milestone in the company’s international growth strategy.
“Germany represents a defining milestone in Hero MotoCorp’s global growth journey. Building on our presence in Italy, Spain, France and the UK, our entry into Europe’s largest economy reflects the growing strength of our global business and our long-term commitment to the region.”
He added that German riders value precision engineering, quality and performance, and the company’s Euro 5+ portfolio has been developed to meet those expectations while delivering an accessible ownership experience.
Seamless ownership experience
KSR Group Chief Executive Officer Michael Kirschenhofer said the partnership combines both companies’ customer-first approach and will help deliver a seamless ownership experience through a strong sales and service network.
“The launch portfolio, consisting of the XPulse 200 in two versions, offers German customers an attractive combination of modern technology, everyday usability and outstanding value. We are confident that Hero MotoCorp is well positioned for a successful market entry.”
