Leading electric car manufacturer TATA.ev has expanded its electric vehicle portfolio with the launch of the Curvv.ev SeriesX, a new lineup positioned as a long-range, feature-rich offering in the mid-SUV segment. The company, widely regarded as India’s largest four-wheeler EV manufacturer, aims to strengthen its foothold in the fast-growing electric mobility market with this introduction.
Pricing and variant lineup
Priced starting at ₹16.99 lakh, the Curvv.ev SeriesX will be available in two variants — Accomplished X 55 and Empowered X 55. The new range also introduces a fresh Nitro Crimson colour option, alongside existing choices including the brand’s signature #DARK edition, enhancing its appeal among style-conscious buyers.
Design and driving range
Built with a bold SUV coupé design, the Curvv.ev SeriesX is engineered to balance everyday usability with long-distance capability. It offers a real-world range of around 400 km and an ARAI-certified range of 502 km, making it suitable for both urban commuting and intercity travel. The vehicle is powered by a 55 kWh battery pack and is backed by a lifetime high-voltage battery warranty, a move aimed at boosting consumer confidence in EV ownership.

Vivek Srivatsa, Chief Commercial Officer at Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd., highlighted that the new SeriesX personas are designed to make electric mobility more accessible while delivering a premium experience. He noted that the offering combines practical features, strong range, and a compelling price point to enhance its value proposition in the competitive mid-SUV category.
Performance and platform architecture
The Curvv.ev SeriesX is underpinned by Tata’s acti.ev architecture and delivers 167 HP and 215 Nm of instant torque, ensuring responsive performance for both city and highway driving.
Accomplished X 55: comfort and practical technology
The Accomplished X 55 variant focuses on comfort and essential technology, featuring a panoramic sunroof, dual digital displays, wireless smartphone connectivity, and a 360-degree camera system. Interior enhancements include ventilated seats, premium upholstery, and rear sunshades, targeting customers seeking a balanced mix of comfort and functionality.
Empowered X 55: premium and advanced features
At the top end, the Empowered X 55 variant offers a more premium and tech-heavy experience. It includes features such as active seat ventilation, a power-adjustable driver seat, reclining rear seats, and a large cinematic infotainment system powered by HARMAN. Additional highlights include a JBL 9-speaker sound system, Level 2 ADAS with 20 safety features, and advanced elements like gesture-controlled tailgate, vehicle-to-load (V2L) and vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) capabilities, and smart lighting animations.
