HDFC Bank’s Wealth Management Platform Gets Infosys Finacle Power

CW Bureau ·

HDFC Bank has modernised its wealth management platform by deploying the Infosys Finacle Wealth Management Solution, replacing legacy systems with a unified, API-driven platform that integrates domestic and offshore wealth operations.

The transformation, implemented by Infosys Finacle, the banking solutions arm of EdgeVerve Systems, a wholly owned subsidiary of Infosys, is aimed at enhancing client experience, improving relationship manager productivity and increasing operational efficiency as India’s wealth management market continues to expand.

The bank said the new platform replaces manual, fragmented processes with a modern digital architecture that enables faster innovation, wider product coverage and scalable delivery of personalised wealth management services.

Unified platform for domestic, offshore businesses
With the implementation, HDFC Bank has consolidated its domestic and international wealth management businesses onto a single platform, while automating key operations across margin lending, bonds and mutual funds.

The API-led architecture also enables seamless integration across multiple banking systems, helping the lender respond faster to regulatory changes, launch new products more quickly and improve operational agility.

“Our vision was to modernise wealth management with a unified, digital-first platform that delivers agility, efficiency and innovation,” said HDFC Bank, Group Head,  Private Banking, International Banking, Financial Institutions and BaaS, Rakesh K. Singh.

Comprehensive wealth capabilities
The Finacle Wealth Management Solution provides HDFC Bank with a unified platform supporting 12 asset classes, including mutual funds, fixed-income securities, private equity, alternate investment funds, structured products and insurance.

The platform also offers advanced portfolio management, risk assessment and goal-planning capabilities.

Among its key features is a digitised margin lending module that enables real-time collateral verification, automated workflows and intelligent risk controls, resulting in faster loan approvals and more accurate collateral valuations.

The solution also enhances customer engagement through personalised investment advice, multi-currency portfolio management and a comprehensive workbench for relationship managers to manage customer portfolios, transactions and reporting.

API-driven digital transformation
More than 350 APIs power the platform, enabling real-time deal settlements, high-volume transaction processing, automated compliance and faster rollout of new wealth management products.

The platform also automates net asset value (NAV) updates, systematic investment plans, withdrawals and reconciliation processes, improving operational efficiency and customer service.

Infosys Finacle sees strong growth opportunity
Infosys Finacle Chief Executive Officer Sajit Vijayakumar said the collaboration reflects the rapid digital transformation underway in India’s wealth management industry.

“We are pleased to collaborate with HDFC Bank on this important modernisation initiative, which consolidates its domestic and international wealth operations onto an advanced platform aimed at improving client engagement and supporting rapid growth,” he said.

He added that Infosys Finacle remains focused on helping financial institutions globally redefine wealth management through composable, end-to-end digital capabilities.
