Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has launched the Urban Cruiser Hyryder Aero Black Edition, a limited-edition aimed at customers looking for a bolder and more premium expression of the popular B-SUV.
The new edition brings a black-themed treatment to the Urban Cruiser Hyryder, with exclusive exterior elements designed to give the SUV a sportier and more commanding road presence.
Blacked-out styling
The Aero Black Edition adds a series of black exterior enhancements to the Hyryder.
These include a front grille upper garnish, front spoiler, headlamp garnish, tailgate garnish and rear spoiler. The SUV also gets an exclusive ‘Aero Black’ limited-edition badge, highlighting the special-edition character.
Toyota said the styling package is designed to give the Hyryder a more dynamic and youthful appearance while retaining its distinctive SUV identity.
Hyryder crosses 2 lakh sales
The Aero Black Edition comes at a time when the Urban Cruiser Hyryder has crossed the 2-lakh sales milestone since its launch in 2022.
The SUV has emerged as one of Toyota’s key offerings in India’s B-SUV segment, combining conventional petrol and strong-hybrid powertrain options with features aimed at urban and family buyers.
Toyota Kirloskar Motor Executive Vice President, Sales–Service–Used Car Business & Profit Enhancement, Sabari Manohar said the Hyryder continues to appeal to modern SUV buyers through its styling, technology and comfort.
“With the launch of the Aero Black Edition, we are excited to introduce a more expressive and youthful design identity that resonates with evolving customer aspirations,” he said.
The black-themed styling, he added, further amplifies the SUV’s premium appeal and gives it a more confident road presence.
Strong hybrid and Neo Drive options
The Urban Cruiser Hyryder is offered with two powertrain choices, self-charging strong hybrid electric and Neo Drive.
The strong-hybrid version combines petrol and electric power and uses an e-drive transmission. Toyota claims a fuel efficiency of 27.97 km/l for the strong-hybrid variant.
The Neo Drive range is powered by a 1.5-litre K-series petrol engine and is available with manual and automatic transmissions, along with 2WD and 4WD configurations.
Feature-rich SUV
The Hyryder comes with a range of features including twin LED daytime running lamps, a Crystal Acrylic Grille, sculpted body lines and 17-inch alloy wheels.
Inside, the SUV offers ventilated leather seats, a panoramic sunroof, a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless charging, ambient lighting and a 360-degree camera.
For rear-seat occupants, features include reclining seats, rear AC vents and USB charging ports. A 60:40 split rear seat configuration adds to the vehicle’s practicality.
Warranty support
Toyota is also offering a three-year/1,00,000-km warranty, which can be extended to five years/2,20,000 km.
For the strong-hybrid system, the company offers an eight-year/1,60,000-km hybrid warranty, aimed at providing customers with greater long-term ownership assurance.
With the Aero Black Edition, Toyota is seeking to build on the Hyryder’s established presence in the B-SUV market by adding a limited-edition, design-focused proposition without altering its core powertrain choices.
