Taj GVK To Open Taj Yelahanka Hotel In Bengaluru By September 2026

Taj GVK Hotels and Resorts Ltd. is set to commence operations at its 256-room Taj Yelahanka hotel in Bengaluru in the coming months, with the property expected to open by September 2026, subject to regulatory approvals and completion of remaining formalities.

Located in the fast-growing Yelahanka region of North Bengaluru, the hotel is expected to benefit from strong demand for corporate travel, meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE), and increasing leisure traffic.

Expansion plans

In addition to the existing three-acre project site, the company owns an adjacent four-acre land parcel that could be developed as part of the second phase of the project.

According to the company, the combined development has the potential to emerge as a landmark hospitality destination in the Yelahanka micro market.

Growth strategy

“Strategically located in the fast-growing North Bengaluru region, the hotel will begin its operations by September 2026. It will be a meaningful addition to our room inventory and aligns with the company’s long-term growth strategy,” Taj GVK Hotels and Resorts Joint Managing Director Krishna Bhupal said.

Taj GVK Hotels & Resorts operates a portfolio of luxury and upscale hospitality properties, including Taj Krishna and Taj Deccan in Hyderabad, Taj Club House in Chennai, Taj Chandigarh and Vivanta Hyderabad, Begumpet.

The company also co-owns Taj Santacruz, Mumbai through its subsidiary, Green Woods Palaces and Resorts Pvt. Ltd.

The opening of Taj Yelahanka will further strengthen the company’s presence in key business and leisure travel destinations across India.
