ZENO Launches ₹8,599 Smartphone, Fast-Charging Power Banks In India

CW Bureau ·

Smartphone maker itel has expanded its ZENO portfolio with the launch of the ZENO 100 Pro smartphone alongside two new power banks, as the company seeks to strengthen its presence in India’s highly competitive entry-level smartphone market by offering bundled value propositions.

The company has positioned the ZENO 100 Pro as one of the most affordable smartphones in its segment, while complementing the device with 10,000mAh and 20,000mAh power banks aimed at consumers looking for budget-friendly mobile accessories.

The smartphone is priced at ₹8,599 on Amazon, while the 10,000mAh and 20,000mAh power banks are available at ₹1,299 and ₹2,069, respectively, as part of a launch offer.

Affordable premium features
With smartphone penetration nearing saturation in urban markets, brands are increasingly differentiating themselves by packing premium features into affordable devices. The ZENO 100 Pro follows this strategy by offering military-grade durability (MIL-STD-810H certification), a 90Hz HD+ display, Android 15 Go edition, and a 5,000mAh battery in the sub-₹10,000 segment.

A notable addition is UltraLink, which enables device-to-device communication even in areas with weak or no cellular connectivity, targeting users in remote locations and outdoor environments.

Powered by the Unisoc T7100 octa-core processor, the smartphone comes with 3GB RAM (expandable with virtual RAM) and 64GB internal storage, along with an 8MP rear camera, DTS-powered speaker, side-mounted fingerprint scanner, face unlock and an infrared blaster for controlling home appliances.

The handset is available in Comet Orange, Cloud White and Black colour options.

Accessory ecosystem
Alongside the smartphone, itel has introduced two power banks as part of its strategy to build a broader mobile accessories ecosystem.

The 20,000mAh model supports 45W fast charging, including compatibility with laptops, and features USB Power Delivery (PD 3.0), Quick Charge (QC 3.0), an inbuilt braided Type-C cable and a digital battery display.

The more compact 10,000mAh variant delivers 22.5W fast charging, dual output ports, a digital battery indicator and a Type-C cable with a lanyard, targeting users seeking portability for daily use.

Company outlook
itel India CEO Arijeet Talapatra said the ZENO range has been designed for younger consumers seeking stylish yet affordable technology.

According to the company, despite rising input costs, it has retained aggressive pricing to make connected devices more accessible to budget-conscious buyers.

The launch comes as smartphone makers continue to intensify competition in India’s value segment, where feature-rich devices below ₹10,000 remain a key driver of volume growth. Bundling smartphones with accessories is increasingly being used to improve consumer appeal while expanding average revenue per customer.
