TVS Motor Company, part of TVS Venu, reported a 31% year-on-year increase in total sales for May 2026, driven by strong growth across motorcycles, scooters, electric vehicles and international markets.
The company sold 566,585 units during the month, compared with 431,275 units in May 2025.
Two-wheeler sales cross 5.4 lakh units
TVS Motor’s total two-wheeler sales rose 31% to 543,111 units in May 2026 from 416,166 units a year earlier.
Domestic two-wheeler sales grew 24% to 384,565 units, compared with 309,287 units in the corresponding month last year.
The motorcycle segment recorded a 30% increase in volumes, with sales rising to 273,802 units from 211,505 units in May 2025.
Scooter sales grew 32% to 220,740 units, up from 166,749 units a year ago.
EV business maintains strong momentum
The company’s electric vehicle portfolio continued to deliver robust growth during the month.
EV sales surged 56% year-on-year to 43,632 units in May 2026, compared with 27,976 units in May 2025, reflecting sustained demand in the electric mobility segment.
International business powers ahead
TVS Motor’s international business remained a key growth driver, with total overseas sales rising 49% to 175,991 units from 118,437 units in the year-ago period.
International two-wheeler sales increased 48% to 158,546 units, compared with 106,879 units in May 2025.
Three-wheeler volumes rise 55%
The company’s three-wheeler business posted the strongest percentage growth among its major segments.
Three-wheeler sales climbed 55% to 23,474 units in May 2026 from 15,109 units in the corresponding month last year.
The strong performance across domestic and international markets helped TVS Motor sustain its growth momentum, with electric vehicles and exports emerging as key contributors to the company’s sales expansion during the month.
