MakeMyTrip, Axis Bank Partner For Exclusive Long Weekend Travel Deals

CW Bureau ·

MakeMyTrip and Axis Bank have announced a partnership to offer exclusive travel benefits to Axis Bank credit cardholders during long weekends and peak holiday travel periods.

The programme is aimed at travellers increasingly opting for shorter and more frequent getaways through the year, with long weekends emerging as key travel periods.

Benefits across travel categories
Built around India’s long-weekend calendar, the programme will offer recurring benefits across multiple holiday periods.

Customers can avail offers on domestic and international flights, hotels, holiday packages, tours and attractions, buses and cabs booked through MakeMyTrip.

For each eligible long weekend, a dedicated booking window will open ahead of the holiday, allowing customers to access exclusive offers across travel categories.

MakeMyTrip Chief Operating Officer – Flights, Corporate, GCC & Marketing,  Raj Rishi Singh, said the partnership was built around reaching travellers at the point when they are making travel decisions.

“Marketing is increasingly building around the right moment, not just the loudest voice. This partnership with Axis Bank reflects that shift, showing up with real value exactly when the traveller is deciding, not just when we want to be seen,” Singh said.

Up to 15% discount on hotels
Under the offer, customers booking through MakeMyTrip and paying with an Axis Bank Credit Card will receive a flat 10% instant discount on domestic flight bookings, capped at ₹1,800.

Domestic hotel bookings will qualify for up to 15% instant discount, with the benefit capped at ₹5,000.

Similar benefits will be available across international flights and hotels, buses, cabs, tours and attractions, subject to applicable terms and conditions.

Holiday packages will qualify for an additional 5% instant discount for Axis Bank credit cardholders over and above existing MakeMyTrip holiday offers. The additional discount will be capped at ₹20,000.

Focus on frequent travel
Axis Bank Group Head – Acquiring and Cards, Vinit Bajaj said travel remains a key focus area for the bank as customers increasingly seek greater value from their spending.

“Through our partnership with MakeMyTrip, we are bringing timely and relevant benefits that make travel planning more rewarding and accessible for our cardholders,” Bajaj said.

The partnership comes as travel behaviour evolves towards shorter, more frequent breaks, with long weekends providing an opportunity for consumers to plan domestic and international getaways throughout the year.
