Inflection Point Ventures (IPV), one of Asia’s leading angel investment platforms, has partnered with Bajaj Capital to expand access to startup investment opportunities for investors across India.
The partnership will enable Bajaj Capital’s advisor network to offer structured exposure to selected startup investment opportunities through IPV’s investment platform.
Focus on alternative assets
The companies said the collaboration marks a significant step in the expansion of alternative assets in India’s wealth management ecosystem.
Under the partnership, Bajaj Capital’s nationwide network of over 300 offices and more than 25,000 independent financial advisors will distribute IPV’s Category I Alternative Investment Fund (CAT I AIF).
The initiative aims to connect early-stage Indian startups with investors seeking curated access to emerging growth opportunities backed by institutional due diligence and governance frameworks.
Leveraging combined strengths
Bajaj Capital, a wealth management organisation with over six decades of operations, serves millions of customers across India and has played a major role in the country’s retail investment landscape.
The company was among the early introducers of Company Fixed Deposits in 1965 and later became one of India’s largest retail mutual fund distributors during the 1990s.
IPV, on the other hand, has built a strong presence in India’s startup investment ecosystem by evaluating more than 8,000 startup deals annually and funding over 280 startups.
The platform has also created a network of over 25,000 investors focused on early-stage investing opportunities.
Nothing but the best
Bajaj Capital Joint Chairman & Managing Director Sanjiv Bajaj said, “We evaluated IPV for four to five months, we were thorough, we were demanding, because we wanted nothing but the best for our clients. I will personally be putting my money in. I have been investing in startups for nearly 14 years, and the energy this ecosystem carries is unlike anything else.”
He added, “At Bajaj Capital, we treat our clients like our retired fathers, and that is exactly the standard we held IPV to before bringing them to our network.”
Inflection Point Ventures Founder Vinay Bansal said, “Alternative assets are no longer a niche conversation in India. They are the next logical chapter for every serious wealth portfolio. Partnering with Bajaj Capital, an institution that has never once let its investors down, means we can now bring that chapter to millions of investors across the country.”
Curated startup investment opportunities
Under the arrangement, investors will gain access to startup investment opportunities selected from IPV’s annual pipeline of over 8,000 evaluated startups.
The companies said the investment offerings will be supported by structured governance, institutional-grade due diligence and professional fund management processes.
The partnership is expected to strengthen access to startup-focused alternative investment products as investor interest in private markets and emerging asset classes continues to rise in India.
