CW Bureau ·

Hero MotoCorp, the world’s largest manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters, reported a 19% year-on-year increase in total dispatches for July 2026, supported by strong demand in its domestic business, continued momentum in electric mobility and expanding international operations.

The company dispatched 533,416 units in July 2026, compared with 449,755 units in the corresponding month last year.

Domestic business drives growth
Hero MotoCorp’s domestic internal combustion engine (ICE) business recorded dispatches of 478,689 units during July 2026, up nearly 19% from 401,171 units a year earlier.

The company attributed the performance to healthy retail demand across its motorcycle and scooter portfolio. Flagship models such as Splendor and the new Passion continued to witness strong customer traction, while Glamour X and the upgraded Super Splendor XTEC 2.0 also performed well.

In the scooter segment, Destini and the Xoom range led growth. During the month, the company also rolled out a new marketing campaign for the Destini scooter titled “Hero Ka Scooter, Scooter Ka Hero.”

VIDA strengthens EV momentum
Hero MotoCorp’s electric mobility brand VIDA sustained its growth trajectory by dispatching 22,714 electric scooters during July.

The company expanded VIDA’s international footprint with its entry into Nepal, marking the brand’s first overseas market. It also unveiled a refreshed brand identity, VOOM, and introduced a new 4.4 kWh battery variant designed to offer higher range and improved performance.

International expansion gathers pace
Hero MotoCorp’s global business dispatched 32,013 units during the month, supported by continued expansion into new overseas markets.

The company officially entered Ecuador and Germany, with Germany becoming Hero MotoCorp’s 53rd international market. The expansion is part of the company’s strategy to strengthen its presence in premium and sustainable mobility segments globally.

Investments in manufacturing and supply chain
As part of its “Make in India for India and the World” strategy, Hero MotoCorp laid the foundation stone for its second Global Parts Center (GPC) in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh.

The new facility will function as a strategic logistics hub for domestic and export spare parts while supporting the planned expansion of production capacity at the Tirupati plant, where the company’s entire electric vehicle portfolio is manufactured.

Hero MotoCorp said the investment, along with its continued support for Ather Energy and the broader EV ecosystem, reflects its long-term commitment to sustainable mobility
