Titan Company Ltd, a Tata Group consumer products company with businesses spanning jewellery, watches, eyewear and lifestyle products, reported 21% year-on-year growth in its jewellery portfolio in Q2 FY27, supported by strong demand for studded jewellery and continued growth in plain gold jewellery.
The company said consumer demand remained healthy for most of the quarter but softened towards the end as the festive calendar shifted into Q3 FY27.
Its jewellery portfolio includes Tanishq, Mia, Zoya and beYon, alongside CaratLane, which operates as a separate domestic jewellery brand.
Studded jewellery leads growth
Titan’s studded jewellery business recorded growth in the early thirties, supported by its ‘Festival of Diamonds’ campaign and brand-level promotions. Plain gold jewellery grew by around 20% year-on-year during the quarter.
Demand for investment-led gold coins declined in the high single digits against a high base. Buyer growth across the jewellery portfolio was in the mid-single digits, while average ticket sizes increased by double digits.
Store network expands
Titan’s domestic jewellery business added 42 net stores during the quarter, taking its network to 1,269 stores as of September 2026.
Tanishq, Mia, Zoya and beYon together accounted for 875 stores, while CaratLane operated 394 stores. CaratLane was the fastest-growing major domestic jewellery business, recording 32% growth and adding 13 net stores.
Tanishq and other brands gain
Tanishq, Mia, Zoya and beYon together recorded 20% year-on-year growth, adding 29 stores during the quarter.
Internationally, the combined Tanishq, Mia and CaratLane businesses maintained strong double-digit growth in North America. Titan’s Gulf Cooperation Council business remained resilient despite geopolitical volatility, with improving growth at Tanishq and early signs of recovery at Damas Jewellery, in which Titan holds a 67% stake. Damas has been consolidated into Titan’s financials since January 2026.
Watches and eyewear post gains
Titan’s watches business recorded 30% year-on-year growth during Q2 FY27. Its smartwatches business also recovered, posting encouraging growth in the high single digits.
The EyeCare division delivered 28% growth, supported by focused execution across key strategic priorities.
Emerging businesses expand
Among Titan’s emerging businesses, fragrances recorded growth in the mid-thirties, while women’s bags grew in the twenties. Taneira, the company’s ethnic wear brand, reported growth in the high single digits.
