Amazon Now, the e-commerce giant’s ultra-fast delivery service in India, has crossed $1 billion in annualised gross sales over the past three-month period, with orders doubling every quarter since its launch.
Amazon said the performance makes Amazon Now the fastest-growing e-commerce business unit in the history of Amazon India.
The company has also rapidly expanded the service, taking Amazon Now to more than 60 Indian cities and towns, four times the number of locations covered less than 10 weeks ago.
Amazon Now expands beyond metros
Amazon Now is now available not only in major metropolitan markets but also in tier-II and tier-III cities and towns including Padubidri, Tirupati, Guntur, Gurdaspur, Jalandhar, Vellore, Dharwad, Warangal and Berhampur.
Amazon said it is on track to expand the delivery-in-minutes service to 100 cities by Diwali.
The expansion is being supported by a specialised network of more than 750 micro-fulfilment and urban fulfilment centres, which enables orders to be processed and delivered within minutes.
The company plans to extend the network further ahead of the festive season, with coverage expected to span locations from Gurdaspur and Hoshiarpur in the north to Vembayam and Alamcode in the south.
Focus on speed and selection
Amazon India Country Manager, Samir Kumar said, “In a short period of time, Amazon Now has crossed $1 billion in annualized gross sales in India, making it the fastest-growing e-commerce business unit in Amazon India’s history. We are humbled by the customer response, with orders doubling every quarter. We are on track to expand to 100 cities by Diwali, taking delivery-in-minutes from Gurdaspur & Hoshiarpur in the north to Vembayam & Alamcode in the south.”
Amazon Now offers sellers a platform to provide a broad range of everyday products through its rapid-delivery network.
The selection includes groceries such as fruits, vegetables and frozen food, along with personal care products, fashion and beauty products, small appliances, and home and kitchen products.
Amazon targets 300-city network
In June 2026, Amazon announced plans to build what it described as India’s largest delivery-in-minutes network by scaling Amazon Now to more than 300 cities across the country.
The company is continuing to expand its specialised fulfilment infrastructure as it seeks to combine faster delivery with a wider seller selection.
Amazon said tens of thousands of products are available for delivery within minutes or a few hours, while more than one million products can be delivered the same day and over four million products the next day.
Millions of additional products are available through free, unlimited Prime Delivery.
The rapid expansion of Amazon Now highlights the growing importance of delivery speed in India’s e-commerce market, with Amazon taking its quick-commerce offering beyond the largest cities and into smaller towns ahead of the festive shopping season.
