Ampere, the electric two-wheeler brand of Greaves Electric Mobility, has launched the Nexus EX+, strengthening its Nexus electric scooter range with connected technology, a more powerful 5 kW motor and an IP65-rated water-resistant charger.
The Nexus EX+ is built on the Nexus platform and is aimed at delivering stronger performance, durability and a smarter ownership experience. It is available in two variants, including a version equipped with Ampere’s IoT-enabled Intellipack technology.
Intellipack adds connected features
Intellipack, delivered through the Ampere Connect App, offers more than 30 connected features. These include real-time charging status, live tracking, geo-fencing, Find My Scooter, turn-by-turn navigation and remote vehicle diagnostics.
The app also provides trip reports, ride statistics, charging history, energy insights, battery health scores and service booking. Customers can choose the value-focused Nexus EX+ or the Nexus EX+ with Intellipack for a connected ownership experience.
Motor improves acceleration and gradeability
The new 5 kW motor produces peak torque of 202 Nm at the wheel and enables the scooter to accelerate from 0 to 40 kmph in 4.5 seconds. The higher output is designed to improve pick-up and gradeability on steep climbs, flyovers and hilly terrain.
The Nexus EX+ also features an IP65-rated water-resistant charger, adding durability and convenience for riding and charging across varied weather conditions.
Long-life battery targets lower ownership costs
“The Intellipack makes ownership smarter and more convenient, while the 5 kW motor enhances pick-up and gradeability across flyovers, hilly roads, pillion riding and load-bearing conditions,” Greaves Electric Mobility, Managing Director, Vikas Singh, said.
“The IP65-rated charger further adds to the product’s reliability across varied weather conditions. This is another step in building electric scooters that are practical, resilient and aligned with the evolving needs of Indian riders,” he said.
Two variants target different riders
The Nexus EX+ is priced at ₹1,29,999, while the Nexus EX+ with Intellipack is priced at ₹1,35,999. Both variants are offered in Carbon Knight and Steel Grey.
The scooter comes with next-generation LFP battery technology designed for a battery life of up to 2,00,000 km. It also carries a five-year or 75,000-km battery warranty, with the company positioning the long-life battery and lower running costs as a total cost of ownership advantage over petrol scooters.
