Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan has directed expert teams from Indian Institute of Technology Madras and Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur to assist Central Board of Secondary Education in addressing technical issues related to the board’s post-examination re-evaluation services portal.
The move comes amid concerns raised by students and parents over technical glitches in the CBSE post-result services platform following the announcement of this year’s re-evaluation process.
IIT teams to review technical glitches
According to the Ministry of Education, the IIT teams comprising professors and technical experts will examine all technical issues reported since the launch of the post-examination services.
The experts will focus on improving portal stability, strengthening server performance and streamlining technical workflows to ensure a smoother and glitch-free re-evaluation process.
The teams will also review the robustness of the overall IT infrastructure and assist CBSE in implementing corrective measures related to login authentication systems, user access management and payment gateway operations.
Student interests remain top priority
Pradhan reiterated that student interests remain paramount and directed CBSE to undertake all necessary corrective measures on priority.
The ministry said the initiative is aimed at ensuring a transparent, efficient and student-friendly system for students seeking post-result services such as verification, photocopy requests and re-evaluation.
The intervention by IIT Madras and IIT Kanpur is expected to help strengthen the technical backbone of the CBSE portal and improve the overall user experience during the re-evaluation process.
