JSW MG Motor India has commenced production of the Majestor SUV at its manufacturing facility in Halol, Gujarat, marking the company’s entry into what it described as India’s first D+ segment SUV category.
The Majestor is positioned as a premium lifestyle SUV aimed at customers seeking a combination of strong road presence, advanced off-road capability and premium features.
Focus on premium SUV segment
JSW MG Motor India Deputy Managing Director Biju Balendran said the start of production represents an important milestone as the company prepares to introduce a new benchmark in the premium SUV market.
He said the Majestor combines advanced engineering, strong performance and commanding design in line with evolving customer expectations. According to him, the SUV has been manufactured at the Halol facility using advanced production processes and stringent quality systems to ensure durability, reliability and performance.
Balendran added that the company expects the Majestor to appeal to customers looking for both capability and refinement in their next SUV purchase.
Advanced drivetrain and off-road capability
The Majestor is powered by a 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine paired with an advanced drivetrain system. The SUV comes equipped with a four-wheel-drive setup and segment-first triple differential locks aimed at improving traction and control across challenging terrains and demanding driving conditions.
The company said the vehicle has been engineered to deliver confident performance in both urban environments and off-road conditions while maintaining a premium driving experience.
Customer ownership package
As part of its customer-focused strategy, JSW MG Motor India is offering the Majestor with its Complete Peace of Mind programme. The package includes a five-year unlimited kilometre warranty, five-year roadside assistance and five labour-free services.
Customers can pre-reserve the SUV for Rs 41,000 through the company’s official website. Early customers will also receive benefits including priority deliveries, exclusive previews and curated experiential drives.
Halol facility key to manufacturing operations
The Halol manufacturing facility in Gujarat continues to serve as a key production hub for the company, equipped with advanced engineering processes and quality control systems.
