The automaker has also recorded cumulative sales of 2,94,914 units during calendar year 2026, an 8% increase over the corresponding period last year. The CY 2026 performance includes domestic sales of 2,69,619 units and exports of 25,295 units.
Domestic market drives growth
Domestic sales accounted for about 91% of TKM’s total September volumes, while exports contributed the remaining 9%. For the January-September period, domestic sales constituted around 91.4% of the company’s cumulative volumes.
The company attributed the continued momentum to customer demand across segments, with its focus on products built around quality, durability and reliability.
Festive season focus
With the festive season underway, TKM said it is focusing on strengthening customer engagement and working closely with its dealer network to meet evolving customer requirements.
“September witnessed continued customer interest across segments, supported by our focus on quality, durability and reliability. As we enter the festive season, we remain committed to strengthening customer engagement and working closely with our dealer partners to deliver enhanced mobility experiences and address evolving customer needs,” said Toyota Kirloskar Motor Executive Vice President, Sales-Service-Used Car Business, Sabari Manohar.
TKM’s cumulative sales of nearly 2.95 lakh units in the first nine months of 2026 put the company on course to build on its sales performance during the remainder of the year, with the festive period expected to be an important phase for the automotive market.
