Ultraviolette and Bolt.Earth said their interoperable Type-6 DC fast-charging network has crossed 130 installed chargers across India, more than doubling the initial deployment target of 50 chargers ahead of schedule.
Launched under a strategic collaboration in March 2026, the rollout is being accelerated in response to Ultraviolette’s growing rider base, the rapid rise of India’s electric motorcycle market and increasing focus on energy security, foreign exchange conservation and cleaner mobility infrastructure amid global crude supply uncertainties.
Network expands across key States
The charging network is currently operational across Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Telangana and West Bengal, strengthening fast-charging accessibility and supporting the adoption of interoperable EV infrastructure.
The companies said the next phase of expansion will see another 200 Type-6 DC fast chargers going live over the next two months. The chargers are compatible with Ultraviolette’s X-47 and F77 motorcycles, enabling seamless access across cities, highways and emerging EV corridors.
Focus on interoperability and scale
Ultraviolette Co-founder & CTO Niraj Rajmohan said the rapid rollout reflects the growing demand for reliable and interoperable charging infrastructure for electric two-wheelers.
“For electric mobility to scale meaningfully, charging infrastructure must evolve alongside vehicle technology with reliability, accessibility and interoperability at its core,” he said.
Rajmohan added that interoperable fast-charging infrastructure would play a defining role in improving rider confidence, enabling long-distance usability and accelerating EV adoption in India.
Expansion plans ahead
The deployment includes newly installed Type-6 DC fast chargers as well as upgrades to existing Bolt.Earth charging infrastructure to support Ultraviolette motorcycles.
Bolt.Earth Founder Mohit Yadav said the company plans to deploy 10,000 Type-6 Blaze DC chargers over the next two years.
“With a roadmap to deploy 10,000 Type-6 Blaze DC chargers over the next two years, our focus remains on building one of India’s most reliable and accessible public fast-charging networks for electric two-wheelers,” he said.
