Sunita Tools, Polish Defence Co. Sign MoU For Drone Manufacturing JV

Sunita Tools Ltd has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with a Polish defence company to collaborate on the research, design, development and manufacture of ISR drones, loitering ammunition and smart drone ammunition.

The collaboration envisages the formation of a joint venture in India, with Sunita Tools holding a majority stake. The MoU is valid for five years.

Defence collaboration

Under the proposed arrangement, Sunita Tools will serve as the development, manufacturing, marketing and distribution partner for the agreed products in India, the GCC countries and the Indian subcontinent.

The company will also have rights to market the products in other international markets as mutually agreed between the partners.

Technology and manufacturing

The collaboration aims to combine the Polish company’s technology, technical know-how and product development capabilities with Sunita Tools’ manufacturing expertise, industrial infrastructure and market reach.

The two companies also plan to jointly explore opportunities in defence procurement programmes and strategic collaborations with participants in the Indian defence industry.

Expansion strategy
