Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has launched TDRIVE, its structured motor vehicle training initiative, in partnership with Patni Toyota in Raipur, marking the programme’s first introduction in Chhattisgarh.
The initiative is aimed at strengthening road safety and promoting responsible mobility by equipping drivers with knowledge and practical skills for safer driving.
TDRIVE makes Chhattisgarh debut
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Toyota Kirloskar Motor Deputy Managing Director Tadashi Asazuma, along with Sachin Sharma, Vice President – East Region, Sales- Service-Used Car, Toyota Kirloskar Motor, Umesh Patni, Dealer Principal, Patni Toyota, and other senior leaders.
Toyota Kirloskar Motor, Deputy Managing Director, Tadashi Asazuma, said, “The inauguration of TDRIVE in Raipur is an important step in our ongoing commitment to making Indian roads safer. He said initiatives such as TDRIVE are intended to foster a stronger road safety culture and contribute to safer communities across India.
Training combines classroom and practical learning
Aligned with Toyota’s safety philosophy of creating a “Safe Society”, TDRIVE provides structured motor vehicle training focused on disciplined driving practices and road safety awareness.
The programme combines classroom-based learning with simulator sessions developed within an actual vehicle and supervised on-road instruction. The format is designed to help participants transition from simulated driving conditions to real-world road environments.
The Patni Toyota facility in Raipur will serve as a regional hub for motor vehicle training, extending Toyota’s road safety initiatives across Chhattisgarh and neighbouring regions.
Dealer partnership to expand road safety outreach

Nationwide driving school network expands
The Raipur facility adds to Toyota’s nationwide network of driving schools and training centres.
TKM said the expansion is part of its broader focus on promoting safer mobility, community well-being and responsible driving practices. The company’s road safety approach is also linked to its vision of achieving zero road fatalities.
With the addition of Raipur, Toyota is seeking to extend structured driver training and road safety awareness to more communities across India.
