Almondz Global Securities Q2 Net Profit Jumps 137% To ₹9.13 Cr

CW Bureau ·

Almondz Global Securities Ltd (AGSL), a listed Indian financial services and infrastructure consulting company, reported a 136.5% year-on-year increase in consolidated profit to ₹9.13 crore for the second quarter of FY27, compared with ₹3.86 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.

Consolidated revenue rose 17.9% to ₹40.09 crore from ₹34 crore in Q2 FY26, supported by growth in infrastructure consulting and contributions from the group’s diversified businesses.

The quarterly performance was marked by a strong expansion in the infrastructure consulting order book and improved profitability at its green fuel joint venture, even as the financial services business faced pressure on earnings amid volatile capital market conditions.

Infrastructure order book crosses ₹400 crore
Almondz Global Infra Consultant Ltd (AGICL), the group’s infrastructure consulting business, recorded a 21.1% increase in quarterly revenue to ₹31.35 crore from ₹25.89 crore a year earlier. Profit rose 19.8% to ₹2.90 crore from ₹2.42 crore.

The company secured new infrastructure orders worth ₹154 crore during the first half of FY27, more than double the ₹72 crore secured in the corresponding period last year, representing growth of approximately 114%.

With these additions, its total order book exceeded ₹400 crore as of September 30, 2026. The newly secured assignments are expected to be executed over approximately three years, providing revenue visibility over the medium term.

The company expects revenue and profitability in its infrastructure consulting business to grow by 20-25% during FY27.

Green fuel joint venture profit rises 244%
Premier Green Innovations Pvt Ltd (PGIPL), Almondz Group’s green biofuel and distillery joint venture, reported a 55.7% year-on-year increase in revenue to ₹202.24 crore in Q2 FY27 from ₹129.90 crore.

Profit surged approximately 244% to ₹12.59 crore from ₹3.66 crore in the year-ago quarter.

Almondz Global Securities holds a 40.99% equity stake in PGIPL, while its holding company, Avonmore Capital & Management Services Limited, owns an additional 8.88%.

PGIPL’s Himachal Pradesh facility, with a production capacity of 285 kilolitres per day (KLPD), is operating at full capacity.

Its Odisha ethanol facility, which has a capacity of 200 KLPD, produced 71 lakh litres of ethanol during the quarter. However, the facility is awaiting procurement allocation from oil marketing companies (OMCs) before commencing full-scale commercial production and supply.

PGIPL has participated in the OMC tender for ethanol supply for FY27. Subject to completion of the allocation process, regular commercial production and supply are expected to begin from the third week of November 2026.

The Odisha facility is expected to achieve approximately 80% capacity utilisation in Q3 FY27, subject to the anticipated operational and procurement arrangements.

Financial services earnings face market pressure
The group’s financial services business, which includes broking, wealth advisory, corporate advisory, merchant banking and debt and equity operations, reported revenue of ₹8.05 crore in Q2 FY27, marginally higher than ₹7.84 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.

However, segment profit declined to ₹2.51 crore from ₹3.01 crore. The moderation was primarily attributed to adverse capital market conditions and lower mark-to-market gains on the outstanding investment portfolio.

The company expects its merchant banking advisory business to improve revenue and profitability during the current financial year, supported by mandates under execution.

Group focuses on scaling diversified operations
Almondz Group Founder Navjeet Singh Sobti said the results reflected the growing complementarity among the group’s financial services, infrastructure capabilities and green energy businesses.

He said the group was focused on scaling its businesses, strengthening collaboration and building execution capabilities to deliver sustained long-term value.

The infrastructure order pipeline exceeding ₹400 crore and the proposed ramp-up of the Odisha ethanol facility are expected to be important contributors to the group’s growth prospects.

The group’s performance highlights the growing contribution of its infrastructure consulting and green fuel operations, alongside its traditional financial services business.
