Bharti Airtel has launched Priority Postpaid, a new service powered by 5G slicing technology aimed at delivering a superior and more consistent network experience for postpaid customers.
The telecom operator said the service is designed for users who rely heavily on uninterrupted connectivity for work, entertainment and online collaboration, especially in high-traffic situations such as crowded markets, concerts or while travelling.
Built on advanced 5G slicing technology
According to Airtel, the company has upgraded its 5G network with advanced slicing capabilities that enable more efficient utilisation of network resources. The technology dynamically segments network capacity, allowing Airtel to allocate dedicated resources for Priority customers and ensure a more stable and dependable experience even during peak network demand.
The company said the deployment enhances network efficiency, creates additional capacity and enables targeted delivery of premium connectivity services to postpaid subscribers.
Airtel noted that while slicing-based 5G services have been introduced in countries such as the United States, Singapore, the United Kingdom and Malaysia over the past year, this marks the first such commercial launch in India.
Delivering meaningful Innovation
Airtel India MD & CEO Shashwat Sharma said, “Our focus at Airtel is on delivering meaningful innovations that enhance our customers’ experience. Priority Postpaid is our latest innovation powered by the 5G slicing technology. It provides a superior, more reliable, and dependable experience to our customers, whether they are attending a client call in traffic, or streaming at a packed concert, or booking a cab in a crowded market.”
Available across postpaid plans
The Priority service will be available to customers across all Airtel postpaid plans. Existing postpaid subscribers will receive the benefit automatically, while prepaid users looking to switch can migrate through the Airtel app or by visiting Airtel stores.
The launch further strengthens Airtel’s focus on building a future-ready digital network and expanding customer-centric technology offerings in India.
