Hero MotoCorp reported a strong performance in May 2026, with total dispatches rising to 5,70,068 units, driven by healthy demand in the domestic market, rapid growth in electric mobility and robust expansion in international business.
The world’s largest manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters had dispatched 5,07,701 units in May 2025.
Domestic business sustains growth momentum
Hero MotoCorp’s domestic motorcycle and scooter business recorded 10% year-on-year growth during the month, supported by strong demand across key segments.
The company said growth was led by its Deluxe 125cc, premium motorcycle and scooter portfolios, all of which registered double-digit growth during the period.
Domestic retail momentum also remained strong, with 4,96,957 VAHAN registrations recorded in May 2026.
Super Splendor XTEC 2.0 strengthens 125cc play
During the month, Hero MotoCorp launched the Super Splendor XTEC 2.0, further strengthening its position in the competitive 125cc motorcycle segment.
The company said the new model builds on the Super Splendor’s three-decade legacy while introducing enhanced technology and rider-focused features aimed at improving the ownership experience.
Vida EV business accelerates
Hero MotoCorp’s electric mobility brand Vida continued its rapid expansion, recording 19,052 VAHAN registrations in May 2026.
The EV business delivered 166% year-on-year retail growth, reflecting increasing consumer acceptance of electric two-wheelers and the brand’s expanding market presence.
As part of its growth strategy, Vida commenced retail operations of the DIRT.E K3 in select markets, targeting younger riders and broadening its electric mobility portfolio.
International business grows 78%
Hero MotoCorp’s global business delivered one of the strongest performances during the month, with dispatches rising 78% year-on-year to 33,284 units.
The company attributed the growth to strong demand across international markets, supported by an expanding premium product lineup and focused efforts to strengthen its presence in overseas geographies.
Multiple growth engines at work
The May performance highlights Hero MotoCorp’s ability to drive growth across traditional internal combustion engine vehicles, electric mobility and export markets simultaneously.
With strong domestic demand, accelerating EV adoption under the Vida brand and rising international volumes, the company continues to strengthen its position across multiple segments of the two-wheeler market.
