Amber Group, a leading electronics manufacturing and air-conditioner solutions company, has conducted the groundbreaking ceremony for two advanced manufacturing facilities at Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YIEDA) near Noida International Airport (Jewar).

The ceremony, held on June 27, marked the start of construction of a greenfield air-conditioner manufacturing plant by Amber and an advanced printed circuit board (PCB) manufacturing facility by Ascent-K Circuit Pvt. Ltd., a step-down subsidiary of the company.

PCB manufacturing project

Ascent-K Circuit will establish a 16-acre facility to manufacture advanced High-Density Interconnect (HDI) PCBs under the Electronics Component Manufacturing Scheme (ECMS) of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY).

The company has secured approval for a ₹3,200-crore project under its joint venture with Korea Circuit Co., with trial production expected to commence by the third quarter of FY28.

The joint venture involves ILJIN and Korea Circuit tol manufacture HDI, flexible and semiconductor substrate PCBs.

AC manufacturing facility

Amber Group will also develop an Ultra Mega air-conditioner manufacturing facility across 100 acres. The project will be implemented in phases to enhance domestic manufacturing capacity and scale for room air-conditioners.

“This expansion marks a decisive step in our journey to build large-scale technology-intensive manufacturing capabilities, further advancing the vision of ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’,” said Amber Group Executive Chairman and CEO Jasbir Singh.

It will deepen domestic value addition, foster innovation in the highly import-dependent PCB segment, and create employment opportunities in Uttar Pradesh,” he said.
