Tuticorin Alkali Unveils New Identity For Next Growth Phase

CW Bureau ·

Tuticorin Alkali Chemicals and Fertilizers Ltd (TFL), a manufacturer of soda ash and ammonium chloride, has unveiled a new brand identity and logo as the company seeks to position its next phase of growth around sustainable manufacturing, resource efficiency and international markets.

The new identity comes after more than five decades of operations and reflects TFL’s efforts to evolve with changing customer requirements and markets while retaining its core values and commitment to stakeholders.

Logo reflects chemistry and connectivity
The new logo integrates the letters T-F-L within a hexagonal structure inspired by the science of carbon bonds. According to the company, the design represents connectivity, chemistry and the interdependence of elements.

Green continues to be the dominant colour, reflecting TFL’s focus on sustainability, responsibility and circularity.

“TFL has evolved over more than five decades, responding to changing markets while remaining anchored to its purpose and values. The new identity represents the next phase of that journey – one that is more sustainable, more customer-focused and increasingly global in its outlook,” said TFL Chairman and AM International, Singapore Founder Chairman Ashwin Muthiah.

“It provides a visible expression of the transformation underway within the business. It represents continuity with our past, while signalling our intent to build a business that is relevant to the opportunities of the future,” he added.

From traditional markets to global customers
The rebranding comes as TFL broadens its focus beyond its traditional markets and strengthens its capabilities in sustainable manufacturing, resource-efficient operations and environmentally responsible products.

A key milestone in this transition came in July 2026, when the company shipped its first export consignment of ammonium chloride (ACL) manufactured at its Tuticorin facility to a customer in the US.

The first export shipment marks a step towards TFL’s ambition of developing a broader international customer base and increasing its presence in overseas markets.

The company’s shift towards sustainable products and manufacturing practices also comes against a wider industrial push to improve resource efficiency and reduce the environmental footprint of chemical manufacturing.

More than a visual rebranding
For TFL, the new logo is intended to represent more than a change in visual identity. The company sees the rebranding as a reflection of its ongoing transformation and the direction of its business.

The new identity combines the company’s more than five-decade operating history with its plans to pursue opportunities in sustainable manufacturing and global markets.

TFL said the strength of its brand will ultimately depend on the transformation of the business itself, with the new identity serving as a visible expression of that journey.
