PVR Inox Expands Footprint With Premium Multiplex Launch In Agra

PVR Inox Ltd, India’s leading cinema exhibitor, has marked its entry into Agra with the launch of a four-screen multiplex on MG Road. The property houses 503 seats, including 89 recliners, positioning itself as a premium entertainment destination in the historic city.

The opening signals a significant shift in Agra’s evolving lifestyle landscape, combining its globally recognised heritage appeal with high-end cinematic infrastructure associated with the PVR Inox brand.

Premium technology and immersive design

The multiplex is equipped with RGB laser projection, Dolby 7.1 sound systems integrated with Harman (JBL) speakers, and next-generation 3D capabilities across all four auditoriums.

Each screen has been designed with distinct colour themes in shades of green, blue and grey, along with fabric-finished side walls and cove lighting to enhance acoustics and viewing comfort.

Focus on experience-led entertainment

The property offers signature recliner seating and a curated gourmet menu in a cafe-style setting, aimed at delivering a more refined and immersive moviegoing experience.

Expansion strategy and regional growth

He added that the company’s (Franchise Owned, Company Operated) model enables it to leverage local partnerships while delivering global cinema standards, alongside contributing to local economic growth and job creation.

With this launch, PVR Inox operates 147 screens across 29 properties in Uttar Pradesh and 483 screens across 102 properties in North India. Overall, the company runs 1,799 screens across 359 properties in 114 cities spanning India and Sri Lanka, reinforcing its position as the country’s largest film exhibition chain.
