Leading hospitality chain Lemon Tree Hotels Ltd has announced the rebranding of its hotel Keys Select by Lemon Tree Hotels in Whitefield, Bengaluru, to Keys Prima by Lemon Tree Hotels, marking a strategic move to strengthen its positioning in the premium midscale segment.
Located in Whitefield Bengaluru, one of the city’s most established IT and commercial corridors, the 222-key property sits at the centre of a dense ecosystem of global capability centres, technology parks and multinational offices, making it a key asset in the company’s urban portfolio.
Move up the value chain
The transition to the Keys Prima portfolio reflects a calibrated move up the value chain, with the company investing in upgraded design, more contemporary spaces, and enhanced service standards.
The repositioning also includes a stronger food and beverage offering as well as an improved events and meetings proposition, aimed at capturing higher-yield business segments.
Industry observers note that Bengaluru’s hospitality market is witnessing a shift in demand, with corporate travellers increasingly preferring experience-led stays even within the midscale category.
Targeting premium corporate and MICE demand
The upgraded property is expected to enhance its appeal among premium corporate travellers, while also catering to large-format MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions) and social events.
With Whitefield continuing to attract technology firms and global capability centres, demand for quality business hospitality infrastructure has remained robust, particularly in the post-pandemic phase.
Management perspective
Lemon Tree Hotels Ltd, President, Vishvapreet Singh Cheema, said: “The repositioning of our Whitefield hotel to Keys Prima is a strategic step aligned with the evolving demand dynamics of Bengaluru’s business landscape. As the market matures, we are seeing a clear shift towards more premium, experience-led stays within the midscale segment.”
He added that the upgrade involved significant investment and extensive renovations. “This has revitalised the hotel and delivers a refreshed, elevated stay experience for our guests. It also allows us to better align with emerging guest expectations, while unlocking higher value across corporate, MICE and social segments,” he said.
Strengthening city presence
The company said Bengaluru remains a key market where it currently operates six hotels across major micro-markets. This networked presence enables it to cater to diverse demand segments while offering scale and flexibility to corporate clients.
Keys Prima by Lemon Tree Hotels represents the brand’s elevated midscale offering, combining contemporary design, enhanced service and curated experiences tailored for modern travellers.
