No To Dunkin’, Yes To Domino’s Pizza: Jubilant Renews Domino’s Rights

CW Bureau ·

Jubilant FoodWorks Ltd has entered into a master franchise agreement (MFA) with Domino’s Pizza International Franchising Inc (DPIF) on March 31, 2026, renewing its exclusive rights to operate Domino’s Pizza stores in India for another 15 years.

The agreement includes an option to extend the partnership by an additional 10 years, reinforcing a long-term growth roadmap for the brand in the country.

The renewal comes close on the heels of the company’s recent decision to exit the Dunkin’ India franchise after December 2026, signalling a sharper strategic focus on its core, high-performing brands.

Regional agreements aligned

Jubilant FoodWorks has also renewed its exclusive franchise rights for Domino’s operations in Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. The company will execute fresh MFAs for both markets, aligned with the structure of the India agreement.

Reinforcing long-term partnership

In a regulatory filing, the company said the renewal is aimed at strengthening its long-standing strategic partnership with DPIF while ensuring continuity and stability of operations under the Domino’s brand.

Full-stack operational control

Under the renewed agreements, Jubilant FoodWorks will retain exclusive rights to develop and operate Domino’s Pizza stores across India, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh.

It will also continue to hold rights to use and sub-license Domino’s trademarks, systems, proprietary processes, and intellectual property. Additionally, the company will maintain control over supply chain and distribution infrastructure supporting store operations.

Portfolio realignment underway

Jubilant FoodWorks’ decision not to renew Dunkin’s India development rights beyond December 31, 2026, marks a clear portfolio realignment.

The move follows an internal strategic review aimed at sharpening focus, improving capital allocation, and driving long-term growth in its core quick-service restaurant (QSR) business.
