Yulu Hits 1 Bn Km In Bengaluru, Plans Fleet Scale-Up To 35,000-40,000 EVs

CW Bureau ·

Yulu has crossed 1 billion kilometres of rides in Bengaluru, marking a significant milestone in the city’s electric mobility journey. With 22,500 shared electric vehicles (EVs) currently on the road, the company is a leading player in the short-distance mobility segment across deliveries, daily commutes and leisure rides.

Expansion roadmap gains pace
Building on this momentum, Yulu plans to scale its Bengaluru fleet to 35,000–40,000 EVs over the next year. The company is targeting 20 million deliveries every month while deepening its presence across neighbourhoods, making shared mobility more accessible and widespread.

Impact on deliveries and emissions
Yulu’s platform has powered 190 million doorstep deliveries in Bengaluru while helping eliminate 27 million kilogrammes of CO2 emissions, equivalent to the annual emissions of nearly 18,500 cars.

Across its markets, including Mumbai, Delhi NCR and Hyderabad, the company operates 46,000 EVs that have cumulatively clocked 2 billion kilometres, avoiding 54 million kilogrammes of CO2 emissions.

Deep city integration and tech edge
With a presence across major pincodes, from Peenya to Whitefield and Hebbal to Electronic City—Yulu has embedded itself into Bengaluru’s mobility fabric. Its network is supported by 16 Yulu Centres and over 700 Yulu Zones, enabling seamless access in high-demand areas.

A vertically integrated mobility stack, backed by AI-enabled fleet management, predictive maintenance and a dense energy network via Yuma Energy, ensures consistent vehicle availability and operational efficiency.

Driving efficiency and livelihoods
Yulu’s model delivers strong unit economics while keeping rentals affordable, allowing delivery partners to save 30–40% compared to petrol bikes. The company has emerged as a key enabler in the quick commerce ecosystem, accounting for a significant share of delivery vehicles at dark stores.

In March 2026 alone, Yulu facilitated 8.5 million deliveries, around 300,000 per day, while enabling 400 million green deliveries nationwide. The platform is also supporting the growing on-demand household services segment, expanding livelihood opportunities, including for women gig workers.

Milestone in green mobility
Yulu, Co-founder & CEO, Amit Gupta said, “The 1 billion-km milestone is just the beginning, as Yulu strives to make Bengaluru a national leader in technology-enabled EV adoption. As we look ahead, we remain committed to driving electric mobility that is sustainable, affordable and accessible to millions.”
