Adani Defence Begins Work On ₹2,500-Cr Missile Manufacturing Unit

CW Bureau ·

Adani Defence & Aerospace has commenced work on its ₹2,500-crore missile manufacturing project in Shivpuri, Madhya Pradesh, which will create South Asia’s largest private-sector missile ecosystem.

The project will integrate missile system manufacturing with composite propellant and Trinitrotoluene production at a single location, creating an at-scale capability for India’s private defence sector.

Employment and supply chain

The investment is expected to generate around 5,000 direct and indirect skilled jobs while creating business opportunities for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

The integrated facility is expected to strengthen India’s defence supply chain by bringing together missile system integration and the production of critical materials at one location.
