Bajaj Electricals Ltd. a leading consumer electrical equipment manufacturing company, will focus on restoring profitable growth in its Consumer Products business, sustaining the momentum in Lighting Solutions, gaining market share and integrating the Morphy Richards brand acquisition during FY27.

In his letter to shareholders, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Sanjay Sachdeva said the company’s medium-term ambition is to become one of South Asia’s most trusted and commercially successful consumer electrical companies.

“This is a journey that will not be completed in one year. But every journey begins with a step taken in the right direction,” he said.

Growth roadmap

BEL continues to pursue responsible growth, with sustainability embedded into its business strategy rather than treated as a separate initiative.

During the year, Bajaj Electricals invested in strengthening its digital backbone, improving data analytics for demand forecasting and accelerating its e-commerce and omnichannel capabilities to better serve changing consumer preferences.

It also strengthened its distribution network by undertaking inventory correction in the Consumer Products business.

Brand strategy

The company has adopted a two-brand strategy with Bajaj and Morphy Richards serving distinct customer segments.

The Bajaj brand will cater to the mass and aspirational segments, while Morphy Richards will target the upper mid-market and emerging premium lifestyle segment.

Sachdeva said this clear positioning will shape the company’s investment decisions, channel strategy and product development priorities.

Market leadership

Bajaj Electricals continues to be the market leader in mixer-grinders and the second-largest player in the water heater segment.

Sachdeva said the company intends to strengthen its leadership in these categories while accelerating premiumisation and improving the product mix, with the benefits expected to become visible over the coming quarters.

Future focus

When he joined the company, the priority was to sharpen the brand architecture, accelerate premiumisation, improve the quality of distribution and build a product portfolio that is differentiated and relevant to consumers, Sachdeva said.

Looking ahead, Bajaj Electricals will continue to focus on disciplined execution, profitable growth and building a stronger consumer electrical business capable of creating sustainable long-term value for customers, shareholders and other stakeholders.
