Eco Recycling, Electronics Recyclers International To Form 50:50 India JV

CW Bureau ·

Eco Recycling Ltd. (Ecoreco), an e-waste management and recycling company, and Electronic Recyclers International, Inc. (ERI), US-based electronics recycling and IT asset disposition company, have agreed in principle to establish a 50:50 joint venture in India.

The joint venture will focus on IT Asset Disposition (ITAD), enterprise recycling, circular economy solutions, resource recovery, secure data destruction and allied services.

Partnership expansion

The two companies have collaborated for several years, with Ecoreco supporting ERI’s global customers in India.

Building on this relationship, they have finalised the Shareholders’ Agreement and the Operating Agreement for the proposed joint venture.

Separate entity

The new entity will be incorporated as a separate legal company in India with equal equity participation from both partners.

Its operations, liabilities, regulatory compliance and business risks will be ringfenced at the joint venture level.

Growth plans

The joint venture will combine ERI’s global expertise, customer relationships, technology, operational standards and international best practices with Ecoreco’s infrastructure, regulatory experience and established presence in the Indian market.

The partnership is expected to strengthen Ecoreco’s international footprint, enhance its ability to serve multinational customers operating in India and expand its capabilities in IT asset disposition and enterprise recycling services.

It will also support the adoption of global operational standards while creating new growth opportunities in the circular economy and resource recovery segments.
