TVS Srichakra Entity To Acquire 51% Stake In EV Tech Co Weber Drivetrain

TVS Srichakra Ltd has announced that its step-down wholly owned subsidiary, TVS Sensing Solutions Pvt Ltd, will acquire a 51% stake in Pune-based Weber Drivetrain Pvt Ltd, strengthening the group’s presence in electric vehicle (EV) technology.

The acquisition will be carried out through a Share Purchase Agreement (SPA) signed with G-Power Energy & Technology Pvt Ltd.

TVS Srichakra said the transaction is expected to be completed within six months from the execution of the agreement on July 19, 2026.

Deal valued at ₹1.43 crore
Under the agreement, TVS Sensing Solutions will acquire 5,100 equity shares, representing 51% of Weber Drivetrain’s paid-up equity share capital, for a consideration of ₹1.43 crore.

Each equity share has a nominal value of ₹10.

Strengthening EV technology capabilities
Incorporated on January 5, 2022, Weber Drivetrain specialises in the design, development, testing and manufacturing of electric motors and motor controllers for electric vehicles.

The Pune-based company also provides end-to-end vehicle integration solutions for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), supporting the Government of India’s Make in India initiative.

The acquisition is expected to enhance TVS Srichakra’s capabilities in the rapidly growing EV ecosystem by adding expertise in electric powertrain technologies and vehicle integration.

Weber’s financial performance
Weber Drivetrain has reported steady revenue over the past three financial years. In FY26, it clocked a revenue of ₹14.17 crore, while in FY25 it fetched a revenue of ₹11.65 crore and in FY24,  it closed with ₹13.48 crore topline.

The acquisition aligns with TVS Srichakra’s strategy of expanding its presence in emerging mobility technologies and strengthening its technology portfolio through strategic investments.
