Quick commerce platform Instamart has appointed Nandita Sinha, former Chief Executive Officer of Myntra, as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective August 3, as the company gears up for its next phase of growth.

Sinha succeeds Amitesh Jha, who led the business through a significant expansion phase, strengthening its customer proposition and improving profitability.

Industry veteran to lead next phase
Swiggy Managing Director & Group CEO Sriharsha Majety described Sinha as one of India’s most accomplished consumer internet leaders.

“I am delighted to welcome Nandita Sinha as the CEO of Instamart. Nandita is one of India’s most accomplished consumer internet leaders, and I’m enthusiastic about the vision, customer obsession and operational rigor she brings to the team we’ve built at Instamart,” he said.

Majety also acknowledged the contribution of outgoing CEO Amitesh Jha, crediting him with steering Instamart through a pivotal growth period.

He said Jha strengthened the platform’s differentiation through initiatives such as Noice, improved contribution margins and built a strong, high-performing organisation.

Focus on growth and customer experience
Sinha said she looks forward to building on Instamart’s customer-first culture and growth momentum.

“I have long admired what the team at Instamart has built. It’s a business with a strong customer-first culture, great talent and significant opportunities ahead. Instamart sits at the heart of how India shops for its everyday needs, and I look forward to working with our colleagues, partners and consumers to shape its next chapter of growth,” she said.

As CEO, Sinha will focus on expanding Instamart’s differentiated assortment strategy while driving profitable growth, operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

Brings over two decades of experience
Sinha joins Instamart after serving as CEO of Myntra, where she led the platform to become India’s largest fashion e-commerce marketplace while achieving EBITDA profitability in 2024 and continuing to gain market share.

She has more than two decades of experience in consumer internet, e-commerce and FMCG, having held leadership roles at Flipkart, Britannia and Hindustan Unilever.

Expanding quick commerce footprint
Launched in August 2020, Instamart is among India’s pioneers in the quick commerce segment and currently operates in more than 131 cities.

The platform leverages its technology infrastructure and dedicated delivery network to offer rapid delivery of groceries and daily essentials, competing in one of India’s fastest-growing e-commerce categories.
