Pidilite Industries Ltd, a leading manufacturer of adhesives, sealants and construction chemicals, has entered into a strategic partnership with Hwaseung Chemical, a global supplier of high-performance footwear adhesives, to introduce advanced South Korean bonding technologies to the Indian market.
The collaboration will bring internationally benchmarked adhesive systems to India’s footwear manufacturing ecosystem. The partnership is aimed at helping manufacturers improve product performance, reliability and sustainability while providing localised technical expertise and support.
Partnership targets footwear manufacturing
The partnership will give Indian footwear manufacturers access to adhesive systems used in global sports footwear production, including solutions nominated by leading international brands.
The high-performance adhesives are designed to provide strong bonding, durability and flexibility while supporting consistent output across high-volume footwear manufacturing lines.

The adhesive systems introduced under the partnership comply with global environmental and safety standards, including REACH, SVHC, Proposition 65 and the U.S. Clean Air Act.
The products also align with ISO 14001 and RoHS requirements and have been developed as low-VOC and non-flammable formulations.

The formulations are compatible with modern application techniques and are designed to support safer working environments and lower environmental impact.
