SBI Cards and Payment Services Ltd, the pure play credit card player, plans to strengthen customer acquisition through SBI YONO 2.0, expand its presence in premium and co-branded cards, and accelerate digital transformation as part of its next phase of growth.
“As we continue to build on our progress, we remain focussed on strengthening the foundations that will shape our next phase of growth.
We will continue to deepen customer relationships and accelerate digital transformation while creating sustainable long-term value,” said Managing Director & CEO Salila Pande in a letter to shareholders.
Growth priorities
“In the near term, our priorities remain centred on strengthening risk management capabilities, credit cost discipline and operating efficiency,” she said.
Over the mid-to-long term, SBI Card saw significant opportunities in expanding and diversifying its product portfolio, with continued emphasis on premium and co-branded segments.
“At the same time, we remain committed to strengthening digital onboarding and engagement capabilities to create simpler, more seamless and secure customer experiences across the lifecycle,” she added.
Digital strategy
SBI Card plans to strengthen its new customer acquisition, with focus on SBI YONO 2.0 for digital acquisition in the BANCA channel.
“We will continue to invest in technology and automation to strengthen customer engagement, simplify experiences and improve operating effectiveness, with the SBI Card mobile app continuing to play an important role in this journey.
Alongside these investments, we will strengthen strategic partnerships, advance data-led decision-making, optimise cost structures and maintain portfolio discipline through prudent underwriting and risk calibration,” she said.
Customer engagement
During FY26, the company launched more than 1,250 national and regional festive offers across categories including consumer durables, smartphones, apparel, grocery, jewellery and travel.
With a stronger focus on Tier-II and smaller cities and regional merchant collaborations, these initiatives helped boost visibility, expand reach and strengthen customer loyalty across diverse customer segments.
