Patanjali Foods To Acquire Land, Assets From Its Arm For ₹674 Cr

CW Bureau ·

Patanjali Foods Ltd has entered into agreements with promoter group firm Patanjali Ayurved Ltd (PAL) to acquire leasehold rights over a land parcel and biscuit manufacturing assets in Uttar Pradesh for a total consideration of ₹674 crore.

The land forms part of a larger parcel allotted to PAL by the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority. Out of the nearly five lakh square metres originally allotted, leasehold rights for around four lakh sq. metres will be transferred to Patanjali Foods.

The acquisition cost includes ₹606 crore for the land parcel and ₹68 crore for the building and related civil structures. Currently, the land is owned by PAL.

In addition, the board of Patanjali Foods has approved the purchase of biscuit manufacturing plant and machinery from PAL under a separate transfer agreement. The equipment is presently installed in the building located on the same plot that is proposed to be transferred.

The transaction is aimed at expanding the company’s manufacturing capabilities, particularly in the biscuits segment. The acquisition is expected to improve operational efficiencies, strengthen production capacity and help the company meet rising demand.

Patanjali Foods said the move aligns with its long-term strategy to strengthen its manufacturing base and support future business growth.

The transfer of land, buildings, and plant and machinery will enable the company to consolidate operations at the site and enhance its biscuit manufacturing capabilities.

In the 9 months of FY26, the revenues from the biscuit brand Doodh surpassed FY25 levels with cumulative sales crossing ₹1,000 crore. The Nariyal biscuit continues to gain traction. Distribution is key in driving sales in this category. The company is also strategising on strengthening its reach in the southern region.
