Vasudha Pharma Chem Ltd said the U.S. Department of Justice has dropped all charges against it after finding no evidence of wrongdoing, with no outstanding criminal or civil liabilities remaining against the company.
The company said it has entered into a Non-Prosecution Agreement with the DOJ on April 16, 2025 and had strengthened its compliance programme and internal controls, with a commitment to further enhancements, says PR Newswire.
Accusations and dismissal
Vasudha Pharma is a Hyderabad-based manufacturer of API and pharmaceutical intermediates with multiple facilities in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
In March 2025, Vasudha Pharma and several executives were indicted for allegedly manufacturing and distributing fentanyl precursor chemicals. On March 26, 2026, Vasudha entered a non-prosecution agreement, leading to the dismissal of all allegations.
DOJ observations
The DOJ acknowledged that Vasudha Pharma had no prior criminal or regulatory history and credited the company for its cooperation during the investigation. The company maintained its innocence throughout the process for more than a year.
