Cummins India Ltd. the leading manufacturer of diesel and natural gas engines, expects its growth momentum to be supported by infrastructure investment, manufacturing expansion, digital infrastructure and resilient domestic demand, said Managing Director Shveta Arya.
In her letter to shareholders, Arya said geopolitical developments, changing trade patterns and evolving global supply chains had created uncertainty, particularly in export markets.
However, these developments have also reinforced India’s position as a key manufacturing and growth hub.
Growth outlook
Arya said the company has responded with agility by leveraging its local manufacturing presence, global capabilities and customer-centric approach to capture emerging opportunities.
She said customer expectations are increasingly shifting towards reliable, compliant and digitally enabled solutions that offer better performance and lifecycle value.
To address these requirements, the company is investing in engineering capabilities, advanced and multi-pathway technologies, digital enablement and talent development to support the energy transition and contribute to India’s Viksit Bharat vision.
Technology focus
Cummins India Chairperson Jennifer Mary Bush said the company remains focused on strengthening capabilities, deepening customer partnerships and delivering long-term value.
“As India’s energy landscape evolves, we see significant opportunities to drive innovation and deliver smarter and cleaner power solutions. The path ahead will require agility, collaboration and disciplined execution, and we are confident in our ability to navigate this journey.”
She said the company made steady progress during the year through strong execution, a resilient operating model and a continued focus on customer needs despite a challenging global environment.
Future strategy
Cummins India said it will continue to leverage its engineering expertise, strengthen manufacturing and supply chain capabilities, and deploy advanced technologies to deliver innovative power solutions across sectors.
The company said these investments will support sustainable growth while helping customers improve efficiency and accelerate their energy transition.
