Force Motors Ltd, a fully integrated automobile manufacturer, is strengthening its digital, sustainability and specialised mobility capabilities while expanding its presence across diverse vehicle segments.
The company continues to focus on differentiated mobility solutions rather than competing across every segment, said its Managing Director Prasan Firodia in a letter to shareholders.
Digital transformation gains momentum
Under Project DigiForce, Force Motors is accelerating its digital transformation through cloud-based Customer Relationship Management and Dealer Management Systems, while expanding connected vehicle capabilities through Force iPulse.
According to him, Project Lakshya is strengthening leadership and organisational capabilities, with the initiatives together aimed at making the company more agile, customer-centric and future-ready.
Sustainability targets remain on track
During the year, the company increased its share of renewable electricity to 31% and reduced Scope 1 and 2 emission intensity by 21%.
Water consumption per equivalent vehicle declined 9%, while more than 85% of waste was diverted from landfill. Force Motors is targeting 50% net renewable electricity by 2027, zero waste to landfill by 2030 and net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.
Focus on specialised mobility
The company’s product strategy remains centred on developing purpose-built mobility solutions that address evolving customer requirements and create opportunities in emerging segments, he said.
Its portfolio includes the Traveller, Urbania, Monobus, Trax and Gurkha 4×4, covering applications ranging from passenger transportation to defence and off-road mobility.
Defence programme expands capabilities
The commencement of deliveries under the company’s defence programme marks an important milestone and demonstrated its engineering capabilities in demanding mobility applications, he said.
The growing presence in specialised mobility is also helping diversify the business while strengthening Force Motors’ ability to develop solutions for niche and high-requirement applications.
High-tech aggregates strengthen partnerships
Force Motors’ High-Tech Aggregates Business manufactures advanced engines for BMW Group India and engines and axles for Mercedes-Benz India.
Through Force MTU Power Systems Pvt Ltd, its joint venture with Rolls-Royce Power Systems AG, the company manufactures high-performance 10-cylinder and 12-cylinder Series 1600 engines at Chakan.
New landmark
In 2025, Force Motors rolled out its 100,000th BMW engine from the Chennai facility, followed by the 200,000th Mercedes-Benz engine from its Chakan facility in 2026.
The company said its combination of engineering expertise, specialised products, digital capabilities and manufacturing strengths will continue to support its long-term growth strategy.
