GMR Hyderabad Aviation SEZ Ltd (GHASL), a wholly owned subsidiary of GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd (GHIAL), has announced the launch of Firan Technology Group Corporation’s (FTG) first manufacturing facility in India at the GMR Aerospace & Industrial Park in Hyderabad.
The new facility marks FTG’s entry into India, making it the company’s fourth global manufacturing location after Canada, the United States and China. The expansion also reflects India’s growing appeal as a global destination for high-precision aerospace electronics manufacturing.
Facility to manufacture avionics, cockpit electronics
The newly inaugurated unit will manufacture advanced avionics and cockpit interface electronics for global aerospace and defence programmes.
Developed as a customised Built-to-Suit (BTS) facility, the plant showcases GMR’s capability to design, engineer and deliver world-class industrial infrastructure that meets stringent global OEM standards.
Located within the 277-acre GMR Aerospace & Industrial Park, the facility will benefit from one of India’s most integrated airport-led industrial ecosystems.
GMR sees boost to aerospace ecosystem
GMR Airport Land Development CEO Aman Kapoor said the launch of FTG’s first India facility marks another milestone in building a globally competitive aerospace manufacturing ecosystem.
