Bikaji Foods International Ltd has partnered with Thayekunni Khaleel, a globally recognised technical expert in the bakery industry, through its subsidiary Bikaji Bakes Pvt Ltd (BBPL).
As part of the partnership, Bikaji Foods has transferred a 30% equity stake in BBPL to Khaleel, while retaining a 70% majority stake. BBPL will continue to remain a subsidiary of Bikaji Foods.
Partnership combines complementary strengths
The partnership combines Khaleel’s technical expertise and global bakery experience with Bikaji’s understanding of Indian consumers, extensive distribution and sales network and presence across the retail ecosystem.
Through the collaboration, BBPL aims to bring global bakery practices, technical capabilities and expertise to India while using Bikaji’s market infrastructure and consumer reach to build a scalable bakery business.
Focus on scalable bakery business

BBPL to pursue focused growth

The partnership is expected to strengthen BBPL and enable it to pursue focused growth, while allowing Bikaji Foods to remain focused on its core business and create greater value across its subsidiary portfolio.
